JOB SUMMARY
Deposit Operations provides a wide range of support to all Bank departments. In particular, this position is responsible for monitoring and processing all items related to the Deposit Operations of the Bank and providing customer service to both internal and external customers. All actions will align with the Bank’s mission and guiding principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Monitoring and addressing all non-post, stop pays, positive pays or NSF items on a daily
- Processing foreign items and return mail.
- Handling debit card matters including but not limited to ordering debit cards; maintenance, statusing cards and pin maintenance.
- Attending training and maintaining a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable bank and government regulations.
- Processing daily account maintenance requests in accordance with Bank policy and filing them accordingly.
- Processing daily reports and settlements.
- Monitoring and processing lockbox items, new account documents and handling account exceptions.
- Reporting and assisting in clearing discrepancies.
- Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality of customer, employee and bank information.
- Processing levies, garnishments and bankruptcy requests.
- Reviewing mobile and merchant capture deposits.
- Providing customer service primarily by phone to external customers by responding to balance inquiries, debit card, online banking and deposit account questions and issues.
- Providing support and assistance to internal customers by serving as a resource on all deposit related topics and concerns.
- Reconciling certain general ledger accounts, correspondent bank accounts, official check, interest check, dividend and other internal bank accounts and research problems and making correcting entries.
- Reviewing various exception reports and monitoring account with special instructions, taking steps to address items on the reports.
- Assisting customers with replacing lost or stolen debit cards and/or disputing transactions.
- Other duties as assigned.
