The Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers; determining the merit of various types of loan requests; assisting loan officers in underwriting and documenting the extension of credit and completing/creating various reports used to manage the entire portfolio. Credit Analysts work primarily within the commercial loan function and play a key role in helping determine potential loan structure and approval decisions. Analysts work closely with a number of different lenders and across multiple industry types to gain a comprehensive knowledge of the entire lending process. Other key job opportunities include attending committee meetings as senior management makes strategic decisions and offering input/analysis to assist with the decision-making process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist loan officers in coordinating and completing loan analysis as assigned
- Analyze financial statements by developing models of credit information to identify patterns and trends (i.e. debt service/cash flow models, sensitivity analysis, charting financials, etc.)
- Assemble analysis/loan information for committee review and make loan presentation for some assigned loans
- Research industry trends and/or other public information related to borrowers
- Perform collateral inspections
- Loan risk-grade evaluations and memorandums
- Prepare reports to enhance risk management function of the Bank
- Communicate with borrowers about their business, financial statements, industry, etc.
